  • Typically, C1 and C2 phthalates are used in non-PVC applications.
  • C3 to C7 phthalates are used in applications where rapid setting and stasin resistance is required (foamed leather cloth and flooring for example)
  • C8/C9 and C10 phthalates are the most widely used general purpose plasticisers used for such applications as wallcovering, flooring and medical applications.
  • C11 to C13 phthalates are used where high temperature stability is required.
